In 2019, the institute strived for three special exchange programs. In the whole year, 138 people in 60 batches were sent abroad. Foreign scholars were attracted to visit the institute and make collaborative research by 32 batches of 48 people.
The institute’s international cooperation work has been highly valued by the CAS. President BAI Chunli, Vice President ZHANG Tao and ZHANG Yaping, respectively inspected the progress of the institute’s international cooperation with Britain, Ukraine and Poland. They highly praised and approved our work. The institute has signed the memorandums of cooperation agreements with more than 10 internationally renowned universities and research institutes, such as the University of Warwick, Barton Institute of welding, Ukrainian Academy of Sciences and Czestochowa University of Technology.
Positive progress has been made in the special project “International Cooperation Plan for R & D and Demonstration of Large-Scale Energy Storage Technology” by the International Science Fostering Program. Relying on the International Energy Storage Alliance established by the project, it has developed more than 100 domestic and foreign scientific research institutes members and members of experts and scholars, covering 20 countries. This year, many international academic conferences and forums were organized, especially the first World Energy Storage Technology Conference, which was successfully held in Beijing in May 2019 to further promote international cooperation and expand the alliance’s influence. At the same time, an online alliance system was established. In October 2019, the project passed the mid-term performance evaluation check.
