It is mainly used for applications of new airfoils/blades, validations of advanced numerical simulation methods and developments of new field measurement technologies. Its four major functions are as follows: Test of blade aerodynamic performances, including aerodynamic load, pressure distribution etc; Test of blade structural characteristics, including strain, displacement, velocity, acceleration and load etc; Test of wind field characteristics, including wind speed, temperature, atmospheric pressure, turbulence intensity, gust, wind turbine wake velocity profile etc.; Test of wind turbine noise, including localization of noise source, noise intensity, sound directivity etc.
