    Education and Appointments:

  • He graduated from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2014. He joined Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in November 2019. Prior to his appointment at the Institute, he was Associate Professor of Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was also an Academic visitor of Birmingham Centre of Energy Storage, University of Birmingham (August 2018-August 2019).

    Research Direction:

  • He has research interests in energy storage and conversion and currently focusing on developing novel technologies for thermal energy storage. He has been a PI or Co-I of research projects: e.g. Key Technologies R&D Program of China (No. 2015BAA01B02), National Natural Science Foundation of China (No. 21606242), Beijing Natural Science Foundation (No. 3151001), Major R&D Programs Chinese Academy of Sciences (No. XDA21070302), Science &Technology for Development Chinese Academy of Sciences (No. KGZD-EW-302).

He also invented the composite phase change material for energy storage technology and led the initial stage of development of the technology. He was listed as top highly cited researcher with consistent impact over 2012-2018 in the Energy Storage Science and Technology category by Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China.
