In 2023, the Institute aligned with the "Guidelines on Strengthening International Scientific and Technological Cooperation in the New Era" and the "14th Five-Year Plan for International Cooperation and Internationalization Development of the Chinese Academy of Sciences", closely integrating international cooperation with the "Four Priorities" and "Two Accelerations and One Effort" objectives. The Institute focuses on primary responsibilities and businesses, leveraging the unique role of international cooperation in the nation's strategic scientific and technological capabilities. The Institute established a healthy and sustainable international partnership with the University of Queensland in Australia, continuously strengthening and deepening substantive cooperation with top-tier research institutions in the UK, and facilitating technology exports and industrialization. Relying on the technological advantages in distributed energy systems and ground gas turbines, the Institute collaborates with leading research institutions from "the Belt and Road" developing countries and regions, including Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, to conduct research exchanges and cooperation that reflect regional characteristics. The Institute supports and encourages researchers to apply for the Ministry of Science and Technology's strategic scientific and technological innovation cooperation projects. The Institute submitted eight international cooperation projects proposals, and engaged in high-level and more effective international exchanges and cooperation with developed countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Russia, Croatia, Denmark, Japan, and Spain.
