At the Institute, we accelerated the prior preparation for the base in Langfang in 2008. The foundation stone laying ceremony for the Scientific Research Intermediate Experimental Base at the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics in the Chinese Academy of Sciences was held at the site of the base in Langfang on 18 October 2008. The first constructive project of the base with an area of up to more than 9000 square meters, the integrated service building and the three general laboratories, was formally started on 4 November 2008. The frame of the constructed building was approximately finished at the end of December 2008."
