The year 2008 is the Well-planned Administrative Year set by the Institute. In the year, at the Institute we aimed at the scientific development, deepened the strategic research and talks, organized a strategic seminar for the Institute, and condensed the key developing directions and strategic emphasis of the Institute, i.e., filled the research nucleus with integrated energy systems, efficient energy utilization and minimization of waste and pollutions, laid the research foundation with theoretical investigations of integrated energy systems and turbomachinery, and prior developed the coal co-generation/IGCC System, the circulating fluidized bed (CFB) technology, the technologies for light gas turbine, for such renewable energies as solar energy and wind energy and for the resource-like utilization of municipal waste. The determination of the strategic directions and emphasis laid a solid foundation for the twelfth five-year plan and long-term strategies of the Institute.
