The Journal of Engineering Thermophysics is a science and technology academic journal. It mainly publishes original, creative papers of both theoretical and experimental research work in the field of engineering thermodynamics, energy conversion and utilization, aerothermodynamics of heat engines, heat and mass transfer, combustion, multiphase flow and fluid physics. The journal was commenced by Professor Wu Chunghua in 1980, who served as editor-in-chief until 1992. Professor Wu Chunghua, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, president of the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics, and director of the original Chinese Academy of Engineering Thermal Physics Research Institute, enjoyed a worldwide reputation for his theory of three-dimensional flow. The journal is indexed by EI, CSCD, CNKI and so on.

In the year of 2017, 12 issues were published, including 435 papers in total. The journal focuses on creative academic papers on engineering thermodynamics, energy conversion and utilization, aero thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, combustion, multiphase flow, experiment method and technology of fluid machinery. The journal provides forum for high-quality research communications, original developments in scientific researches.
