The laboratory building part of the first stage of the construction project of Erdos Branch of IET, CAS was started in October, 2013. The project covers an area of 182 mu, including the main scientific research building, comprehensive scientific research building, and four laboratory buildings, whose overall floorage is approximately 68,000m2 and total investment is approximately CNY 300 million. The four laboratory buildings constructed in the first stage cover a total floorage of 8200m2 with an investment of about CNY 29 million. Currently, the early stage formalities of this project and the tendering calls for the first stage have all been completed; the project is undergoing smooth progress, and the main engineering is expected to be completed by June 20, 2014. After completion, this project will provide powerful support for the Energy Storage R&D Center to carry out key technology R&D, engineering technology demonstration and industrialized application for large-scale supercritical air energy storage system.
