Technology for Large-scale Storage of Air Energy
Author: | Print | Close | Text Size: A A A | 2014-11-27

Our institute has built the world’s first 1.5 MW supercritical compressed air energy storage (CAES) system and has passed the major project acceptance of Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission. Thus, the supercritical compressed air energy storage system was verified in the pilot plant tests. Meanwhile, the demonstration project of a 10MW advanced compressed air energy storage unit has been officially initiated.

In 2013, our institute applied for 82 national patents for inventions, 35 patents for utility models, 8 PCT national phase patents, and 1 software copyright and was granted 42 patents for inventions, 42 patents for utility models, 1 design patent and 1 software copyright registration. The institute published 367 papers, of which 77 were indexed by SCI, 128 indexed by EI; 3 monographs were also published/ edited.

In 2013, “Research on Chinese Urban Energy Utilization Methods” completed by our institute won the second prize of the 2012 annual Soft Science Research Achievements by the National Energy Administration (NEA).
