On Sep. 8, review meeting for the project "design of 4MW level gas turbine" was held at IET. Assistant director Chen Haisheng chaired the meeting, with 25 experts from Guizhou Liyang aero Power Co., 608 Institute, Wuxi turbine blade Co., and other relative units attending.
At the meeting, Prof. Tan Chunqing and Prof. Gao Qing gave reports on overall development and specific design of 4MW level gas turbine, respectively. After listening to the reports and reviewing the design drawings and related information, the expert group made the conclusion that the design indicators of the power turbine had reached the leading level and filled the domestic blank, agreeing to the passing of the design review.
The 4MW level gas turbine is jointly developed by IET and AVIC Guizhou Liyang aero power Co.. As an advanced gas turbine machine product, it can be used in distributed energy system, offshore drilling platform, etc.. The research of the gas turbine is independently developed based on the fully absorption of advanced engine technology. Through retrofit design, its power range are expected to extend to 3~5MW in the future (with double units covering the power range 6~10MW). Since passing the overall design review last year, all work have been pushed steadily and orderly development, including the development work of responsible power turbine and exhaust device burdened by IET independently
Deputy director Zhu Junqiang fully affirmed the development work in summary speech, and put forward specific suggestions to the future work. Researchers Zhang Hualiang, Liu Xiyang also attended the meeting as team members.
