The out-joint task implementation plans for the subject "supercritical circulating fluidized bed combustion technology and demonstration" passed appraisal on Apr. 10th, 2013. The subject is an important selection in the “char/coal clean and high efficient combustion technology pilot project”, which is subordinate to the strategic leading technology special projects. The appraisal conference was presided by subject leader Sun Yunkai, with project leader, main researchers and relative managements attending.

Closely around the research on key technologies in the demonstration, the out-joint tasks aim to take advantages of relevant units and strive for the realization of the project objectives. Xi'an Jiao Tong University, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Chongqing University and Huaneng Clean Energy Research Institute, who have accumulated rich experiences in the fields and possessed relevant test facilities and test analysis instruments, were elected to undertake the tasks.

In the conference, the project leader Lv Qinggang firstly introduced the start-up background of the strategic leading technology special projects, instauration reason on the “Char/Coal Clean and high efficient combustion technology pilot project”, and use regulation of the project funds. Subsequently, 5 cooperation unites gave their detailed reports on the implementation plans, including "Safety of low mass velocity in supercritical parameters boiler and experimental study and theoretical analysis on hydrodynamic characteristics" by Prof. Yang Dong from Xi'an Jiao Tong University, "Hydrodynamic characteristic calculation of supercritical furnace coupling process" by Prof. Lv Junfu from Tsinghua University, "Theoretical research on supercritical heat transfer in the furnace and heat flux density" by Prof. Cheng Leming from Zhejiang University, "Study on material concentration distribution in the cold experiment and real furnace material balance for super blast furnace" by Prof. Lu Xiaofeng from Chongqing University, and "Experimental study and selection of slag cooler" by senior engineer Li Qiang from Huaneng clean energy research institute.

After the reports, the expert group enquired and discussed on feasibility of the implementation plans and determination basis of relative technical parameters and pointed out the difficulties of some tasks, giving a good reminder to deploy specific jobs.

After full discussion, the expert group agreed that the implementation plans for all five out-joint tasks, which were all with clear research contents, assessment indicators and feasible technology route, passed appraisal. In addition, the expert group gave a high evaluation of the powerful combination, expecting five external units to finish their tasks successfully.

In represent of IET, the vice Director Lv Qinggang fully affirmed the implementation scheme, hoping that all units would complete tasks on time with quality and quantity, and use funds in strict accordance with the principle of earmarking funds. He also expected the way of cooperation would contribute to strengthening exchanges and communications, fully taking advantages of each external unites, and lay a good foundation for further cooperation.
