Femto-second laser pump-probe technique thermophysical property measurement platform is a thermophysical property measurement platform designed and developed by Heat and Mass Transfer Research Center based on ultrafast femto-second pulse laser and pump-probe thermoreflectance technique. This measurement platform can be used for thermal conductivity measurement, thermal diffusivity measurement and interfacial thermal conductance measurement of many forms of materials, including solid bulk materials, micro/nano-scale materials, liquids, coatings and soft materials.
This platform is a non-contact measurement method using laser as a media, which just requires a small piece of sample without breaking it, so the sample can be recycled. The other feature of this platform is it can be used to determine the thermophysical property of micro/nano-scale materials, the minimum scale of the sample is about 10 nm, and this is one of the most advanced thermophysical property measurement method for micro/nano-scale materials in the world.
