In order to further promote the achievements of science and technology and make knowledge of overseas talents development strategy and introduction demand, IET actively participated in the activities "overseas talents into the CAS" organized by CAS. On the morning of June 24th, 2013, Dr. Zeng Liang from Ohio State University, the United States, Dr. Fu Chao from Norwegian University of Science & Technology and Dr. Wang Hainan from University of California-Los Angeles, visited IET and conducted academic exchanges.
The conference, presided by Director Huai Xiulan from department of personnel and education, started with reports from the three visitors at 8:30, a.m. Party secretary Zhao Xichao addressed in the conference, welcoming three visitors in represent of IET and briefly introducing the development history of IET. Then, the three visitors made reports entitled "Chemical Looping Process Development for CO2 Capture and Carbonaceous Fuel Conversion", "Process Integration in Oxy-Combustion Processes with CO2 Capture" and "Transport phenomena and scaling laws in electrochemical supercapacitors with mesoporous electrodes", respectively. Their reports closely related to the research of IET and aroused great interests of researchers present. Two sides carried out heated discussions and on-site exchanges.
After the reports, three overseas visited the Laboratory of Circulating Fluidized Bed, R&D Center of Energy Storage and Laboratory of Energy Systems and Renewable Energy, and had further discussion and communication with relative personnel. Three visitors showed their appreciations to the exchange opportunity and expressed their hope to join IET.
At last, the activities came to a successful close. Prof. Lv Qinggang, Deputy Director of IET and Director Chen Haisheng from department of technology also attended the reception. In recent years, IET has been increasing the introduction of overseas talents and strengthening international academic exchanges. Scientific and technological development and personnel policy had been widely promoted to the overseas talents, hoping to build a good platform for long-term cooperation and two-way choice.
