The high speed centrifugal compressor test bench, developed by IET in the Langfang R&D center, passed the on-site technical appraisal on May 26, 2013. Research team from the Laboratory of Gas Turbine, IET, led by Prof. Tan Chunqing, undertook the project. At present, performance test for the centrifugal compressor with a design speed of 52,000 r/min has completed, whose maximum speed is 80,000 r/min, maximum power is 315 kW, pressure ratio is 6, and maximum flow rate is 2 kg/s, the main technical indicators all reaching the international advanced level.

The appraisal group consisted of some experts from Beijing University of Technology, China Aviation Industry Ltd. and other companies. The group considered that the test bench, having rational layout, comprehensive functions, reasonable matching parameters and equipped with advanced test and control technique, was featured in high speed, small vibration and high precision. They agreed that the bench hadachieved the leading level in China and advanced level in the world and would play as an important test platform for the key technology research and model development of micro gas turbine compressor.
