At the invitation of Laboratory of Energy Systems and Renewable Energy, Prof. Keith Lovegrove and his group visited IET and gave a lecture entitled “Dish Solar Power System” on June 19, 2012. The lecture was chaired by Associate Prof. Hui Hong. More than 20 researchers and students attended this lecture.

Prof. Keith Lovegrove was Head of the ANU Solar Thermal Group. As a world leading solar expert, he has engaged in the research on dish solar power system for a long time. In the presentation, Prof. Keith Lovegrove gave a comprehensive introduction of dish solar power system and the recent research progress of his group in this field.

After the report, the researchers and students took lively discussion with Prof. Keith Lovegrove. Then, Associate Prof. Hui Hong introduced the research directions and recent achievements of Laboratory of Energy Systems and Renewable Energy, especially the research progress in the field of solar thermal compensation in recent years, followed with a further discussion between two sides.
