The deployment conference of the project of Innovation 2020 and Talent development work of the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IET, CAS) was held on Feb.11th, 2012. The directors and vice directors of every laboratory attended the conference. The director of our institute Wei Qin made a report on the project deployment and talent development.

Director Wei Qin elaborated the key tasks and main objectives of the projects of Innovation 2020 and “One Three Five”. He emphasized that the “One Three Five” project is the main assessment index for the phased development of the institute, and it can serve as a guild in the future five to ten years’ work. He also explained the related cautions and considerations in detail.

Director Wei Qin pointed out clearly the following two points. First, the funds for the project of innovation 2020 will be mainly arranged in the “one three five” projects and forward-looking projects. Second, the institute will introduce more talents and enhance the talents cultivation in the following years. More measures will be taken to support the young researchers and top talents.

This work deployment will be finished before the end of March.
