Academician Xiaohua Gan Hired As the Academic Committee Director of the Dongsheng Substation of IET/Energy Storage Institute

Academician Xiaohua Gan was hired officially as the academic committee director of the Dongsheng Substation of the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Dongsheng Substation of IET) and the Institute of Large Scale Energy Storage Technology in Dongsheng District, Ordos City (energy storage institute) on Jan. 30th, 2012. The appointment ceremony was held in Dongsheng Substation of IET/ energy storage institute. Leaders and representatives from the institute, Dongsheng district, Ordos city, Inner Mongolia power (group) Co., Ltd., and Beijing Energy Investment Holding Co., Ltd. attended the appointment ceremony. The Director of the Dongsheng Substation of IET/energy storage institute Chunqing Tan awarded the employment certificate to Academician Xiaohua Gan.

Academician Xiaohua Gan is now the chief engineer and doctoral supervisor of the Air Force Equipment Research Institute, member of the national committee of CPPCC, and academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering. He is a famous expert in the field of aviation engine. His service of the academic committee director of the Dongsheng Substation of IET/energy storage institute is significant to the research and industrialization of the originally proposed energy storage technologies by supercritical air based on the aviation engine/gas turbine principles and supercritical characteristics of working fluid.
