On January 7th of 2011, the academic committee conference of the advanced energy and power key laboratory was held at IET. The conference was chaired by Du Minghua. The attendees include: Wang Yang research fellow from institute of coal chemistry of Shanxi, professor Sun Xiaofeng from Beihang University, Zhang Suxin senior engineer from Shanghai Electric, Xiao Yunhan and Huang Weiguang research fellow from IET. Qin Wei, the director of IET, was invited to take part in the conference.

Qin Wei first congratulated the opening of the conference, and then he expressed his gratitude to the attendees of the conference. Xiao Yunhan, the director of the laboratory, made the work report of last year. He made a introduction about the level, the research field, the research task, the research progress, the platform construction, the experiment demo project, the international cooperation, the research achievement and talents cultivation of the laboratory. He specially introduced the research progress of energy science development strategy, power cycle and system, the clean conversion of solid fuel, the aerodynamic and combustion performance of gas turbine , energy saving and environment protection. After that, An Botao and Zhang Zhedian associate research fellow, Zhang Shijie and Lin Feng research fellow made academic presentations respectively. The titles of the presentations are “turbine blade heat transfer and cooling research”, “the combustion research of gas turbine combustor”, “the optimized integration of advanced energy and power system” and “the flow instability in compressor and its control means” respectively.

The attendees of the conference made a enthusiastically discussion about the development of the lab and they give credit to the work of the laboratory. Meanwhile , they gave some suggestions for the work in the 12th five-year plan. The lab will carry out the suggestions in the future work and make more contributions to the development of the lab.
