Dr. WANG Haigang from the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics under Chinese Academy of Sciences (IET, CAS) attended the Annual Meeting of American Institute of Chemical Engineering (AIChE) held in Salt Lake City, UT, USA on November 7-12, 2010.

WANG delivered keynote reports in the fields of particle fluidization technology, pharmaceutical and food technology, and renewable energy technology, displaying the latest research achievements of IET.

He also participated in the session of Chinese American Chemical Society (CACS), an organization of Chinese chemists and chemical engineers, and the Particle Technology Forum, an international forum that promotes information exchange, scholarship, research, and education in the field of particle technology.

After the meeting, he visited the Michigan State University and Utah State University where he had a heated discussion on related fields with their staff, paving the way for future cooperation between the two universities and IET.

The AIChE Annual Meeting is the premier educational forum for chemical engineers interested in innovation and professional growth. Covered a wide range of topics, the meeting would attract over 4000 participants every year. The next meeting will be held in the city of Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA in 2011.
