October 31st to November 3rd, the 12th National Heat Pipe Conference was held at Fulin Hotel in Shenzhen. The conference was co-hosted by Zhongshan University and South China University of Technology. More than 90 scholars attended this conference.

The conference accepted 54 papers, including 11 special arranged reports. The representatives discussed on heat pipe technology in the area of research progress, basic research, experimental research and applied research. Researcher Quwei made a special arranged report about the latest progress of heat pipe. Zhang Lizheng from Nuo Wei Technology Company(Shenzhen) and Yang Jun, General Engineer of Nanjing Ceno Heat Pipe Company, held the symposium of the industrial product application.

Professor Lv Shushen from Zhongshan University chaired the opening ceremony. Shao Xingguo who is the leader of Heat Pipe Professional Group of Chinese Engineering Thermophysics and comes from Chinese Academy of Space Technology, Researcher Qu Wei who comes from Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Kang Shangwen who comes from Tamkang University, Taiwan and Hou Zengqi who comes from Chinese Academy of Space Technology made speeches at the opening ceremony one after another. There were 7 youth excellent papers on the conference and the award ceremony was held on the closing ceremony. It is reported that the13th National Heat Pipe Conference will be held in Shanghai in 2012.
