October 21st, Director Qin Wei went to Langfang Technology Valley with Huai Xiulan, the director of Personnel and Education Department to visit Ge Shengli. Ge Shengli is the staff of Institute of Engineering Thermophysics (IET) and was sent to serve temporary position at Langfang Technology Valley in 2008. Li Huaizhang, the chairman of Langfang Technology Valley, and President Ren Jiasong welcomed Director Qin Wei and held a conversazione.

Ge Shengli reported related work he had done for Langfang Technology Valley and said that he would do his best to fulfill his own duties on the conversazione. Li Huanzhang and Ren Jiasong introduced Ge Shengli’s efforts after he was appointed the vice president of Langfang Technology Valley. They fully affirmed the contribution Ge Shengli had made to Langfang Technology Valley’s development, especially the settlement work for sub-units of Chinese Academy of Sciences at Tech Valley. Meanwhile, the leaders expressed their thanks to IET for supporting Tech Valley’s construction.

Director Qinwei gave a speech to express his thanks to Tech Valley for the training and care given to Ge Shengli, and for the supports to IET’s test base. He also gave full recognition and appreciation to Ge Shengli. In addition, Qin Wei emphasized that as a national research institution, one major task of IET was to serve economic and technical construction, and that IET would use Langfang base as a link to deepen the cooperation with the Tech Valley in order to get a win-win development and to make a substantial contribution to local economic development. On the conversazione, he discussed preliminarily with the leaders of Tech Valley about issues such as joint construction of research platform, public service facilities, residential, park expansion, etc.
