Proceedings of the 8th IFToMM International Conference on Rotordynamics was held in Korean Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) form September 12 to 15, 2010.

Covering 5 branches and 5 keynote speeches, the conference received over 200 participants from 29 countries who exchanged views on pneumatic bearing, shaft stability, fault diagnosis and micro gas turbine.

“The Method of Sliding Bearing Stability Criterion and Shaft Coupling”, a paper written by researchers from Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was read out at the conference.

The participants also made a trip to key laboratories of high temperature air bearing, electromagnetic bearing, and no oil micro turbine generator of KIST.

International Conference on Rotordynamics was held every your years and the next session will be held in Milan,Italy in 2014.
