Author: | Print | Close | Text Size: A A A

Chinese Vice President XI Jinping urged accelerating research and development of clean, efficient and low-carbon utilization of coal on September 18, 2010.

He made the remarks while visiting the section of “New Energy, New Energy Technologies” of this year’s National Science Popularization Day in Beijing.

Impressed by the system of Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle/Cogeneration/Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage developed by the Center of Energy Power, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CEP), XI asked about the R&D of core technologies involved, the experimental demonstration of the system integration, and the combination of the technology and industry.

In addition, XI urged CEP researchers to achieve breakthroughs in new energy technologies and realize industrialization soon.
