In 2008, as a team, the Institute strictly met the requirements for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games given by all levels of organizations and carefully organized and offered volunteer services. Firstly, we have made ten measures to strengthen the life security and the communication security. Secondly, we have actively organized staff volunteers to participate in and serve the Olympics. Thirdly, we have finished the scientific and technological tasks in support of the Olympics, the Search for the Strategy for Control and Technology for Resource-like Utilization of Municipal Waste. The Institute successively receives such honorary titles as the National Outstanding Team for the Scientific and Technological Olympics and the Outstanding Volunteer Team for the Olympic Games in the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
