Industrialization achievements
In 2008, the Institute continued strengthening the collaborations with such companies as the Shanghai Boiler Works, Ltd., the Wuxi Huaguang Boiler Group Co., Ltd. and the Jinan Boiler Co., Ltd. in the field of combustion with Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB). We have developed and sold several large-scale CFB boilers with coal input of 480-670 tons/h. They have made direct economic benefits nearly of 1 billion yuans to the power companies and post-indirect integrated economic benefits nearly of 4 billion yuans to the power companies. Meanwhile, the R&D of the ultra large-scale supercritical CFB boilers with coal consumption of 1000 tons/h is being progressed well. In the near future, the CFB technology will play a bigger role and create more economic and social benefits with its good performance and environmentally friendly advantages."
