Research Fields

Based on the solid foundation of the Light-duty Gas-turbine Technology in IET, leaded by the requirements of the designation and system integration of UAV platform, we carry out research in areas such as foundational investigation of UAV, key technologies, innovative system integration, product development, etc.

Team Building

The UAV laboratory has 40 staffs, including three researchers and eleven associate senior engineers, two post-doctors, nine postgraduate students.

Projects and Major Achievements

In 2020 eight projects are in process, in which four products are granted in the year, including one key project from the Commission of Science and technology of the Central Military Commission of the People’s Republic of China, one Key Laboratory of Defense Science and Technology Foundation of Chinese Academy of Science, one National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC) project, one Chinese Postdoctoral Project on High-grade, Precision and Advanced Discipline Construction of Engineering Science.

The solar-powered UAV was authorized to start the second phase development. The Target UAV completed the whole system test by multiple prototypes and subsonic flights many times in an outside airport.

In 2020, 11 academic papers were published, among which 8 were indexed by SCI. 13 patents were applied and 9 patents were granted.
