Journal of Thermal Science is an international journal of thermal and fluid sciences in English language sponsored by the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, publishes high-quality papers of original work on experimental, numerical and theoretical investigations from contributors throughout the world. The scope of the Journal covers the following aspects: engineering thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, aerothermodynamics of internal flows, turbulence modeling, heat and mass transfer, flow and thermal processes in porous media, multiphase flow, combustion, and measurement. The journal also includes technical papers concerning the application of basic knowledge to industrial processes and equipment, e.g. turbomachinery, furnaces and boilers. The journal is indexed by SCI, EI, CA, CSCD, CNKI and so on.

In the year 2015, 6 issues were published, altogether 76 papers. The authors are from China, Japan, Korea, India, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, Serbia, Russia, Finland, United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil etc. The journal is co-published by Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Science Press. Springer-Verlag is in charge of the sale abroad. In 2015, the download of full papers of Journal of Thermal Science from Springer Link is over 35,000 papers. In three consecutive years，the journal received the Prize of Elegant Academic Journal with World-wide Influence by Chinese Academic Journal International Evaluation Research Center. In 2015, the journal gets the outstanding award in publication quality by Science Press.
