Research and testing on the operation technology and performance of a “600 MWe supercritical circulating fluidized bed boiler”, under “The Eleventh Five- Year” science and technology support plan passed review. The institute has mastered the operating characteristics of supercritical circulating fluidized bed boilers, formed guidelines for unit start-up and debugging techniques, proposed operation schemes for constant and sliding pressure and variable loads for the units, and built up research experience on boilers in practice. In addition, IET completed cold state experimental research on a 660MW supercritical circulating fluid bed boiler, confirmed the advantageous use of the boiler and applied it to the development of supercritical circulating fluidized bed boilers.
Regarding technology for circulating fluidized bed oxygen-enriched combustion, studies on 100kW technology and MW level scaling-up criteria were completed, including technological integration, system scale-up, temperature control and the scaling-up of heat transfer components. The regular operation of a recycling system for 55% oxygen-enriched [concentration] smoke was realized, reaching the predetermined indictors. The research and manufacturing for an MW scale circulating fluidized bed oxygen-enriched combustion pilot plant reached several benchmarks: the plant was designed and is in the construction stage. The input oxygen concentration was 21%-50% as designed, and the oxygen, air and smoke could be mixed to any proportion.
